Cowgirl artists come in many forms. Some cowgirl artists are born into the cowgirl lifestyle, riding horses and doctoring cattle from an early age, some come into the lifestyle later on, and still others are artists who represent the cowgirl lifestyle and the places and animals she knows and loves.
Cowgirl Artists of America supports them all.
Core Beliefs
Are you a cowgirl artist? If so, Cowgirl Artists of America was made just for you. No matter where you are in your career there is a place for you here.
CGA was founded to increase opportunities and representation for female western artists. In order to accomplish this goal we operate out of 4 Core beliefs.
Community: CGA believes that a supportive community can be one of the most life and career altering resources. We are cultivating community through our social media platforms and virtual meet-ups. We believe in a mindset of abundance that breaks down barriers of competition and grows a supportive sisterhood.
Collaboration: CGA believes that collaboration is the fastest path to change. We strive to build bridges by partnering with industry leaders in order to grow awareness, expand opportunities for artists, and increase representation.
Education: CGA believes that providing resources and education to help cowgirl artists grow their business and improve their craft will help artists gain confidence, and become leaders in the western art world.
We believe that education and resources are important for organizations as well. We are developing resources to help organizations identify areas of improvement within their organization and places where they have influence.
Promotion: CGA believe that promotion is immensely valuable and necessary to artists. We will work to increase exposure of cowgirl artists. CGA hosts shows and partners with industry leaders each year to bring art opportunities to artists and connect them with the wider community.
